Dave Huston
Dave joined the Silverstone team in 2022 after retiring from the U.S. Air Force. He is passionate about all things “Leadership” and brings a wealth of knowledge and application engaging in the development of Leaders. In doing so he leverages his practical military experience and scholarly academic experience. As a young officer in the military, he led multiple small teams to include those in combat and in the Pentagon. Later in his military career, he led cadets at the U. S. Air Force Academy whose mission is to develop 4,000 cadets as Leaders of Character. Upon earning a PhD in Educational Psychology in 2017 from the University of Missouri—St. Louis, Dave served in USAFA’s Center for Character and Leadership Development establishing policy and curriculum. At the same time, he was teaching in USAFA’s Behavioral Sciences and Management Departments, while also leading the team that executes USAFA’s annual National Character and Leadership Symposium. When he isn’t developing Leaders with Silverstone, Dave is an adjunct professor teaching Psychology at Colorado Mountain College in Leadville or working as a raft guide on the Arkansas River. He resides in Buena Vista, CO with his wife, son, and daughter and spends his time with them in the mountains and on the river.
